    SOGET, Gold Partner of Microsoft announced today at the World Custom Organization’s annual IT Conference and Exhibition the delivery of e-Maritime Platform on Microsoft Cloud Technology. Launched in june 2010 e-Maritime is the next-generation of Port Community System based on Microsoft Cloud technology. The project is supported by European Regional Development Fund and is addressing the European Union’s “Maritime Transport Strategy 2018”.

    SOGET and its strategic partner BUREAU VERITAS are exhibiting under Microsoft’s pavilion.

SOGET at the 34th PMAWCA Council Meeting

    SOGET SA, with the Port Authority of Le Havre, attended the 34th PMAWCA Council Meeting held in Accra (Republic of Ghana).

    The topic of the discussions focused on the management by African Port Authorities of the impact of the international financial crisis. The African Union Council and the African Shippers Council pointed out the importance of setting-up Port Community Systems solutions to support the current port development in the subregion. The Port of Cotonou has been cited as the first example of implementing a Port Community System.

SOGET and CIECC launched Cargo Visibility Service

    SOGET and the CIECC (China International Electronic Commerce Center) of Chinese Ministry of Commerce launched the Cargo Visibility Service (CVS) today in Beijing.
    CVS allows operators to track cargo in Chinese and French ports supply chains.

    CVS enables on one hand to anticipate on the processing and distribution of goods and on the other hand to reduce the cost of access to the information, to accelerate the movement of goods and to improve productivity gains and return on investment.
    CVS is in operation in 5 major Chinese ports: Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Dalian and Lianyungang. In the next coming weeks, CVS will go live in Hong Kong, Ningbo, Tianjin and YingKou. Upcomming in 2011 are also Schenzen and Xiamen.Chinese ports connected to CVS have a 2010 total trade of 141 million TEUs.

8 out of the top 10 world shipping lines use SOGET ICS

    Eight out of the top ten shipping lines in the world have chosen SOGET ICS solution to manage their import security filings in France as required by the new European Import Control System regulation.

    The Import Control System went into force on January 1st 2011. The SOGET customs team has been working closely with European customs authorities for more than a year in order to implement SOGET ICS. Maersk Line, MSC and Evergreen Line have also actively participated to the implementation of the application.
